Tremadocian and Floian (Ordovician) linguliformean brachiopods from the Stavelot–Venn Massif (Avalonia; Belgium and Germany)

Lower Ordovician linguliformean brachiopods from the Stavelot–Venn Massif (Belgium and Germany) are described systematically for first time. The material comprises specimens Jalhay (Solwaster Member) Ottré (Les Plattes formations of Tremadocian Floian ages, respectively. Solwaster Member yielded a relatively diverse assemblage nine species lingulide (e.g. Lingulella lata, Lithobolus sp., Broeggeria sp.) acrotretide (Acrotreta? whereas only one siphonotretide (Celdobolus is recognised base Les where it associated with conodonts Paroistodus proteus Zone. Member, although not abundant, much more than that contemporaneous Chevlipont Formation in Brabant (Thyle Valley, Belgium). Some taxa identified represent some youngest occurrences documented Avalonia.
